I reworked the original image, to make it a little bit brighter, this time before converting it to monochrome, adjusting the colours slightly first. A single light source with a honey comb diffuser was used, and  placed on the right hand side of my model, and slightly above. 
The original image for this recreation of Marlene Dietrich was taken by George Hurrell.

    Hi Nick, As you are aware your shot is not sharp. Check that the camera is set on Auto focus, or manually focus. Lighting and mood great though. You need to add your test shot (made outside the studio) and your research plus a lighting diagram.
