                                       Hollywood lighting reworked                                                         inspirational image

I reworked the original image, to make it a little bit brighter, this time before converting it to monochrome, adjusting the colours slightly first. A single light source with a honey comb diffuser was used, and  placed on the right hand side of my model, and slightly above.
The original image for this recreation of Marlene Dietrich was taken by George Hurrell.

I'm really proud of this photo, because of what it symbolises, and thats both pride and loss. The pride comes from what our armed forces do for us, keeping us safe from outside threats, and the loss comes from the horrors of armed conflict. It' also the first picture of mine ever to go on display !!!! whoo hooo. If you'd have told me that 12 months ago, i'd have said you're joking !!!
